Back to Beauty Lessons From the Women In Our Lives

My mother started a beauty ritual at a very young age that I have somewhat adopted now. She uses a good moisturizing cream on her face and while massaging it into her neck, she tightens the muscles of her neck and face as well as the muscles of her tummy and tush by pulling them in. She says, "It is like Pavlov's theory! Whenever I touch my neck with cream, my tummy and tush tighten !!! Wowie...at 69 years old I am sure that beyond all else it has worked!"
Mom's other wise beauty lesson? Don't sleep on your face! A couple of favorite beauty tips fondly remembered from my grandma Blossom is: "always take care to bathe in beauty, whether or not you actually take a bath and to always show feelings of pride in your body no matter what age."
