5. Sleep in pin curls.
As a veteran of wearing wigs for the theater, I can tell you that nothing stops a pin curl (instructions from HairBoutique.com). If you take small sections all over your head and twist them up into pins, sleep on them, hit 'em with a dryer in the morning, let them cool, and take them out, you will shake out a head of seemingly bigger hair. Run a brush through if you want a smooth look.
