Play up the messy factor

So many girls get stuck on wanting their hair to look perfect, forgetting that messy has its own perfection (and thank you for that, Gisele Bundchen!). If you have a little wave in your hair, find a texturizing product or gel that amps that up -- we've been using Alo Sun Sea Salt Tress Texturizer and really loving it. If your hair is shorter, look for putties and pomades that can be raked through your hair for volume and a messy-on-purpose look. Just make sure you don't use too much, or your hair can look greasy.
