Display at Carol's Daughter

Display at Carol's Daughter

Annie: So, Lisa, how did you get started with Carol's Daughter fifteen years ago?

Lisa: I started with fragrances, making stuff in my kitchen. My mother, Carol, encouraged me, and I started selling at church and flea markets, and I was selling out!

A: And did you start here in Brooklyn?

L: I'm from Bedford Stuyvesant [Brooklyn], but I used to live right across the park right here. I was selling out of my apartment, and this store was something else. I used to walk by and think "Maybe one day, that could be my store."
