There are tons blow drying tips for ladies with long hair styles. But what about those with shorter, hair - from ear lobbing to shoulder length? When it comes to blowout tutorials, they're totally forgotten!

Since most gals have hair that falls into this range, we caught up with celebrity hair stylist Danielle Caputo for her tips on how to blow dry hair that isn't down to there. And she has tons -- including the right brush to use, and the products that'll ensure your 'do looks its best.

Watch the video for all of Danielle's tips, click through the gallery for step-by-step instructions, and visit our Hair Basics section for more easy hair how-tos.

Hair Basics: Quick Tips to Add Volume

Could your strands use a little extra oomph? Celebrity hairstylist Danielle Caputo shares and easy trick for adding quick volume to your hair. The process looks a little complicated, but once you've got it down you'll have big, lush locks, in minutes.

Gather the top section of your hair like you're creating a Mohawk, then fasten it with a hair clip.

Gather the rest of the hair back into a ponytail. This will divide the hair up into easy sections for you to style.

Now that the rest of the hair is pulled back, you can unclip the top section to start adding volume. You will ultimately be dividing the top section into three smaller sections, each of which you will spray first with hairspray, comb through with a fine tooth comb, curl back with a wide barrel curling iron, and clip them into place to hold the curl.

TIP: Hold the curling iron at the base of each curl, and then feed hair into the curl. This method will build more volume than the reverse (and more common) method of curling the hair from ends to roots.

This is what your head should look like when all three top sections have been curled and clipped. Hello, faux-hawk!

Sebastian Mlynarski for AOL

Section the ponytail into two (if your hair is thick, do three sections). Spray each section, comb it through, and then curl using the same method described previously.

Help the curls set by cooling them with air from your hair dryer, using the cool setting (or button) to help accelerate the process. Caputo recommends blowing the air in the direction of the curls. "Doing it against the the curls will cause the hair to frizz up," she says.

Once the curls have cooled off, take pins and ponytail out, then flip hair over and muss it up at the roots with your fingers.

Spray with a little finishing spray, and there you have it, shiny, voluminous waves.

Doesn't anyone want to comment on the video? I thought it was interesting, but too much work for someone getting ready for their day.

I agree ! they need to show someone doing it themselves .. sure you can show a stylist doing it ...try to do that at home and you need 2 sets of hands .....

Personally, I think she looks much more sexy in the first photo . She rocks the wet look.

the video is great, but my stylist already knows how to do it. I'd rather see the model dry her own hair. it's so much more difficult to do that stuff on yourself!

As a pro I can tell ya...PANTENE IS THE WORSE THING FOR YOU HAIR!!!! If you see anything with the word sodium it has lye in it. That's what gives you a temporary feeling of soft hair.

I so agree,,unless you have 4 hands and eyes on the back of your head, these tips are useless... and also, that is shorter hair ?

She makes is look so easy. But..... she has a better angle on the hair. It's almost impossible to pull hair straight out with a brush and hold a blowdryer at the nape of the neck. It seems like anything behind the ear is at a bad angle. Just wish I had a stylist to dry my hair every morning.

And why can't they do some videos of short hair styles. They make all the models with short hair look so "unstyled." I mean I know you can do a lot more with long hair but it would be nice to see an even representation of short and long styles. I know there is more you can do with short hair, than just blow dry it!

I have noticed that if one of my students in my school get her hair cut into a bob and blow dried it, I would most likely place the bob towards the right side.
