Classic Hostess

Couture: This is how I picture the hostess at my father's friends home. Classic American elegance with a twist, much like the dish.

Cuisine: This dish is a bit of a joke in my family. When my father was growing up, he used to go to a friends home on Lake Minnetonka and the family's Swedish cooks would serve these. The trick is to slice the bread as thin as possible. They're a Belfry family favorite to this day. How could bacon and peanut butter not be delicious?
