Kanye West at Fendi...and Gap and Louis Vuitton?

In 2008, Kanye told the New York Times he aspired to intern at a fashion house -- “Preferably, Louis Vuitton or Raf Simons.” Although rumors flew about a stint at LV, West landed at Gap -- or so the tabloids said. Us Weekly wrote in 2009, “He works [at Gap] all the time, and one Friday night recently, he stayed until 12 am." Except that rumor wasn’t true either.

Kanye finally got his wish when, after the 2010 VMA Taylor Swift gaffe, he skipped town and headed to Rome, where he landed at Fendi. He actually interned there, telling Ellen Degeneres later that he “got coffee for people” (we think he was joking about that part) and learned about clothing styles, fabric and other aspects of the business that could inspire him creatively. As if that guy needed any more crazy ideas...
