Jill Sander: Milan Fashion Week 2011

Designer Raf Simons stuck to his expert and intellectual brand of minimalist tailoring, presenting simple silhouettes in a range of volumes from ultra-slim to extra wide. His fitted, tightly knit sweaters and skinny stirrup pants stood out, and took us on a fantastical trip to the slopes of Gstaad. There was also volume in the form of egg-shape coats and billowing silk pieces, and pops of bright colors like marigold yellow and electric blue.
