Versace: Milan Fashion Week 2011

There were a few themes running through Donatella Versace's collection this season. She did her signature show-stopping evening dresses, of course, and they were gorgeous. But her daywear held its own! She started things off with some buttoned-up military looks in heavy wool -- a chic outerwear option for fall. Then she moved on to shift dresses. Some of these were printed with blown-up, primary-bright Florentine patterns. The best, however, were trimmed with colorful python in squiggly lines that mimicked an actual snake curled around the body. Molto bene.
