While electric blue shadow is a tough sell for an everyday makeup look, it complements the collection of this fashion-forward designer. "There's an insect influence to the clothes that can be seen in his construction technique and patterns," says makeup artist Kabuki. "My inspiration for the makeup came from art nouveau glassware and the shimmering colors on the armored backs of beetles." Kabuki mixed MAC Freshwater and Deep Truth eye shadows, applying it around the eye to create an oval shape. He then smudged MAC Pro Marine Ultra Chromaline into the crease of the upper lid and dusted MAC Pro Old Gold pigment over it to create an iridescent effect.
