Today kicks off the United States launch of Hairdressers Against AIDS, a joint venture between L'Oréal and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which urges stylists to use the often intimate, tell-all relationships they have with clients as a jumping point to educate them about AIDS prevention, testing and available treatment resources.

To start, Sex and the City 2 star and comedian Mario Cantone, who returned for his fifth year as host, was granted an award by Allure editor-in-chief Linda Wells. "It's kinda like the Nobel Prize, only with better hair," she quipped. Cantone responded with "I'd like to thank my mascara wand..," which was his first joke of many that had the perfectly-powdered crowd of brand executives and beauty editors practically rolling on the floor with laughter.

When Antin checked in to talk about his gig as transformation artist on "The Biggest Loser," we expected his trademark blunt-cut banter. We weren't, however, prepared for the verbal razor he took to his stint as a judge on "Shear Genius."
