When I opened the package from Bluefly & Stylelist for my second challenge, my jaw dropped to the floor. It was a BEAUTIFUL pair of gray, suede Prada booties with fine studding embellishments! The Prada shoes were sleek, classic, and had just the right edge to it! I immediately knew right off the bat I wanted my look to emulate those same qualities.

Bluefly.com really hit the nail on the head with this boots. They are absolutely beautiful. I wanted to do something to keep them the essential part of the outfit so I let the shoes be the center piece and worked gentle pieces around it.

With another day of torrential rain in Dallas, you can hardly blame me for counting the days until I return to my old home, Malibu- where the sun shines all year and casual style reigns supreme. Growing up in Southern California simple styling is in my blood, it is what undoubtedly inspired this look.

When I unveiled these studded Prada booties?the second item in the Bluefly / StyleList America?s Most Stylish blogger contest?my first thought was how gorgeous they were. My second thought was that I might be a little afraid to actually wear them! They are, after all, my first pair of designer shoes. A few steps with these beauties on and any hesitation disappeared. I couldn?t wait to show them off with the perfect outfit!

After all, it?s not every day you receive gorgeous Prada boots in the mail! The shoes? ash gray color, rounded toe and serious sparkle factor were just screaming for a good party outfit, and I wasn?t about to deny them some fun.

Oh my Prada! Taxi cabs better watch out! As if the shoes aren?t enough to stop traffic, they are dressed with chains and spikes ready to pop any tires that get too close.
